The Shimano XTR SL-M9000 shifter (clamp version) features improved ergonomics, anti-slip surfaces and a powerful index shifting function. You will always find the right gear with ease, and a cable with polymer coating reduces the effort required. The housing is made of lightweight aluminium, the levers are made of carbon, so that in Cross Country or Enduro racing, unnecessary grams are left out of it. The left SL-M9000 shifter is suitable for 2x11-speed as well as 3x11-speed drivetrains without a mode converter.
Of course, the XTR shifter is a Rapidfire Plus model, which can shift down several gears at once and has 2-Way Release. The release lever can be operated in two directions by pulling with the index finger or pushing with the thumb. Instant Release provides immediate release and Multi Release (on the 11-speed lever) provides fast gear changes in both directions, with pulling to change one gear and pushing to change two.
